Vetus anode type 25 magnesium

Since the propeller ensures that the electrolytic effect is greatest at the stern, it is advisable to place multiple anodes there. It is also recommended to place anodes on the rudder blade and propeller shaft, among other places.

Rule of thumb:

Zinc anodes for salt water.

Aluminum anodes for fresh and brackish water.

Magnesium anodes for salt water.
