Water and dirt in diesel fuel can severely damage the highly polished components of fuel pumps and injectors. Dirt particles can render fuel pump plungers unusable; sludge, condensation, and rust are the primary causes of this. Separ filters remove dirt particles down to 30 microns and eliminate nearly 99.8% of water.
Operating principle:
First stage
Separation of solid contaminants and liquid impurities via centrifugal force (centrifuge effect).
Second stage
Collection of remaining fine particles. Particles suspended in the fuel rise into the upper section of the conical insert (cone) and accumulate on its inclined surfaces. Over time, these particles aggregate into larger, heavier clusters that gradually sink to the bottom of the bowl, joining the contaminants separated during the first stage.
Third stage
Fine filtration of the fuel through the Separ filter element (insert).
The combined action of all three stages achieves a 99.8% water separation rate.
